No More Subscriptions: preparAItor Is Credits-Only
We retired the Pro and Premium subscriptions. From now on there is one way to pay: buy a credit pack, once. Credits never expire, and your first purchase — even the CHF 3.90 one — unlocks every feature for good. Here is what changed, why, and what it means if you already bought something.

We just made pricing simpler. The Pro and Premium subscriptions are gone. There is now exactly one way to pay for preparAItor: buy a credit pack, once.
This post is the whole change — short on purpose.
What changed
Before: a free plan, two monthly subscriptions (Pro at CHF 14.90, Premium at CHF 29.90) with different feature sets, and credit packs on the side.
Now:
- A free plan — unchanged. Two complete applications, one interview session, a handful of CV tools, all free, no card, no expiry.
- Credit packs — five of them, from CHF 3.90 to CHF 49.90. You pay once. The credits never expire. There is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.
- One unlock, forever. Your first purchase — any pack, including the smallest — permanently switches on everything that used to sit behind Pro or Premium.
That last point is the heart of it, so here it is in full. After your first purchase you get, for good:
| Unlocked with your first purchase |
|---|
| CV Maker exports without the watermark |
| Word (.docx) and plain-text downloads, plus a ready-to-send email draft |
| The full CV Maker library — every template, font and colour palette, plus custom colours |
| Cloud sync to Google Drive and OneDrive |
| Bulk ZIP download of a whole application |
| Your own Word template for cover letters |
| Room for 300 applications in the tracker (instead of 10) |
Spend the credits, and none of it locks again. A CHF 3.90 pack bought once is enough.
Why
Two honest reasons.
Job search isn't a monthly habit. You apply intensively for a few weeks or months, then you stop — hopefully because it worked. A subscription charges you for the months in between, or makes you remember to cancel at exactly the moment you'd rather forget about job hunting entirely. Paying once for a pack, and keeping whatever is left for the next time, matches how the search actually goes.
None of those features cost us anything per use. Word export, cloud sync, a template library, a bigger tracker — those are switches, not costs. What does cost money is the AI work behind every generated letter or interview round, and credits already pay for that. Charging a monthly fee on top for switches was charging twice. So the switches are now simply on, once you've bought anything at all.
The packs
| Pack | Price | Credits | Roughly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quick Boost | CHF 3.90 | 150 | 1 application |
| Active Pack | CHF 9.90 | 600 | 5 applications |
| Hunt Mode (recommended) | CHF 12.90 | 1000 | 9 applications |
| Mega Pack | CHF 19.90 | 2000 | 18 applications |
| Ultimate Pack | CHF 49.90 | 6000 | 54 applications |
A full application — reading the job ad plus generating the complete package — costs 110 credits. Bigger packs give you more credits per franc; the ladder is meant to be felt, not studied.
If you already bought something
You're already unlocked. The switch is tied to the fact that you have ever purchased, not to what or when — so if you bought a pack before today, every feature above is on for you as of this update, automatically. Nothing to claim, no email to answer.
If you were on Pro or Premium: nobody was, actually — the subscriptions never had a subscriber, which made this an easy call. Had you been, your account would simply have become a purchased account with everything unlocked and your remaining credits kept.
What didn't change
- The free plan and its allowances.
- Credit costs per action.
- Generated documents were already clean for everyone; that stays. Only the CV Maker export carried a watermark, and it's the first thing your first purchase removes.
- Your data, your documents, your tracker entries.
The short version
Start free. When you're serious, buy a pack. Credits never expire, and any purchase unlocks the whole app forever. There is no subscription, so there is nothing to cancel.
Prices and everything above are on the pricing page. If something is unclear, the credits and billing guide has the details.
