Credits and Billing Guide

preparAItor has no subscription. You start on the free plan, and when your free runs are used up you buy a one-time credit pack. This guide shows you where billing lives in the app, what each pack costs, and how to find invoices or ask for a refund.

Where Billing Lives

Everything is on the Billing page — open Billing in the app menu. At the top you'll see your credit balance and a Buy Credits button; below it are two tabs:

• Payments — your full purchase history, with a link to the Stripe-hosted receipt for each purchase.
• Credit Usage — every credit deduction, itemized: generation, CV analysis, job analysis, interview sessions, CV Maker actions.

The dashboard's balance card offers the same Buy Credits shortcut, and the credit shop also opens from the pricing page.

The Free Plan

The Free plan needs no card. Instead of monthly credits, it gives you a set of lifetime free runs to try every feature: 2 complete applications (2 job analyses + 2 document generations), 2 CV uploads, 5 AI text improvements, 2 match checks, 1 CV health re-run, 1 CV tailoring or translation, and 1 interview session — about 510 credits' worth. Nothing resets and nothing expires; once a run is used, that action costs credits from your balance.

Finishing all eight items of the free tour also earns you a first-purchase bonus: the first pack you buy afterwards comes with 25% extra credits (minimum 50), once per account.

Credit Packs

Open the credit shop via Buy Credits, then click Buy Now on a pack — payment runs through Stripe Checkout.

Every action has one price whatever you bought: job analysis 10 credits, CV analysis 15, match check 10, document generation 100 (one complete application = 110), interview session 150, and the CV Maker actions 3 (AI Improve), 60 (Tailor) and 90 (Translate). How purchased credits behave:

• One-time payment. No subscription, no auto-renewal, nothing to cancel.
• They never expire. Your balance waits until you spend it, and every later pack adds to it.
• One balance for everything — generation, parsing, CV Maker actions and interview sessions all draw from it.

Everything Is Included for Free

Credit packs buy exactly one thing: credits for AI actions. Every feature of the product is included for free on every account, from day one:

• Watermark-free CV Maker export (generated application documents were never watermarked either)
• Word (.docx), text (.txt) and email-draft (.eml) downloads next to the PDFs
• The full CV Maker design library — every template, font and colour palette, plus custom colours
• Cloud sync to Google Drive or OneDrive
• Download All (ZIP) for generations and tracker entries
• Custom Word templates for the motivational letter (up to 10)
• Application Tracker capacity of 300

Nothing here is tied to a purchase or a balance — it all works even when your credits hit zero.

Payments, Invoices, and Receipts

All payments are processed by Stripe — preparAItor never stores your card details. Cards, TWINT and the wallets Stripe offers at checkout are accepted; prices are in CHF and include Swiss VAT where applicable.

To review purchases, open the Payments tab on the Billing page:

• Filter by Credit Purchases or Refunds, search, and sort by date or amount.
• Expand a row for the Transaction Details — credits received, and the bonus if one applied.
• Click View Invoice to open the Stripe-hosted receipt, or Export CSV for your whole history.

The Credit Usage tab next to it shows where every credit went, for the current month and past ones.

Refunds

Purchases are one-time and credits land immediately, so a refund is a manual request rather than a button. Email admin@preparaitor.ch with your account email and what happened. Refunds are considered for technical problems that stopped you from using credits you paid for, and for accidental double charges; credits that have already been spent are not refunded. If you are a consumer in the EU, the 14-day withdrawal right and the conditions under which it lapses are described in the refund policy.
